If you like bright color and modern designs then it’s likely that you will love this book.

It’s full of interesting projects.  Everything from small pot holders, to full-sized quilts.

Malka also has a great  blog.  I just love her inspiring designs.

dresden daze

———

A while ago a made a quilt that I called Dresden Daze.

At the time I wrote a pattern for it but I never got around to putting it on my blog page.

Better late than never.  So here it is!

The Dresden Plates are machine pieced and hand appliqued to the the background blocks.

Then a simple alternate  block with four corner triangles was added.

Finally three quarter plates were added to each corner to form part of the border.

honeycomb

———

Here’s a little quilt that I’ve been working on for the last 18 months and I’m still only about halfway finished!

I really like this block.  I think it’s called Honeycomb.   It has taken way too long to finish this little baby,  so I have set myself a goal to have it all done be the end of winter.

Might be nice to have something bright and cheerful around when spring arrives.
